Budget Monitoring System is one of the capacity building initiatives of UP Police Head Quarters to facilitate sanctioning, allotment, expenditure, surrender and reappropriation of yearly financial budget of Police Department. The primary function of the application is to record budget allocation and allotment details. Application records activities like expenditure and surrender statement and reappropriation of the budget. Various reports related to demand, distribution and expenditure of money is created by PHQ budget monitoring department.
Problem
In current scenario, all the budget activities like allotment, expenditure, reappropriation is done manually and it is very time consuming and tiresome to generate the reports manually. Collecting budgeting details from various districts & units and keeping track of how much amount given or left to be given to a district or unit was a very tedious task. Moreover, it is difficult to keep track of allotted amount versus the amount of budget left for allotment Accuracy related to demand and distribution of money as well as better monitoring of budget was the major problem.
